REDS Fantic Racing chiude il Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini con una delle domeniche più importanti della propria stagione. Barry Baltus conquista il terzo posto, centrando il primo podio del 2026 e il primo della gestione REDS, mentre Tony Arbolino chiude quinto dopo una rimonta di undici posizioni dalla sedicesima casella.

È stata una gara dalle fortissime emozioni e ad altissimo ritmo, vissuta intensamente giro dopo giro dal box e da casa, con il risultato rimasto aperto fino alle battute finali.

Manuel González ha conquistato la vittoria davanti a Collin Veijer. Alle loro spalle, Baltus ha difeso la terza posizione fino alla bandiera a scacchi, mentre Arbolino ha completato una lunga rimonta che lo ha riportato nel gruppo di testa nelle fasi conclusive.

Partito dalla settima posizione, Barry Baltus ha costruito il suo podio attraverso una gara solida e in costante progressione. Il suo ritmo medio di 1'35.125 è stato il secondo migliore della gara, appena 17 millesimi al giro più lento di quello del vincitore.

La gara di Tony Arbolino è stata una lunga rincorsa verso le posizioni di vertice. Dopo aver conquistato il settimo posto in qualifica ed essere stato successivamente penalizzato di nove posizioni, il pilota italiano è scattato dalla sedicesima casella. La sua rimonta è iniziata già nel primo giro, quando ha chiuso il passaggio in dodicesima posizione.

Tony ha poi guadagnato terreno con continuità: undicesimo al secondo giro, decimo al terzo e nono al quarto. Nel finale ha continuato a spingere: sesto al diciottesimo giro, quindi quinto a due tornate dalla bandiera a scacchi. Al traguardo ha chiuso a soli tre decimi da Ortolá, quarto classificato.

Undici posizioni recuperate, la miglior rimonta in gara, con il quinto miglior passo in 1'35.244.

Con entrambe le moto nei primi cinque posti e 27 punti conquistati, REDS Fantic Racing chiude a Misano il weekend più redditizio della stagione.

Il podio di Barry rappresenta un traguardo significativo per la nuova gestione REDS e arriva al termine di una gara vissuta intensamente in ogni sua fase. Barry Baltus finished third, claiming his first podium of 2026 and the first podium under REDS management, while Tony Arbolino finished fifth after recovering eleven positions from sixteenth on the grid.

It was a race of intense emotion and relentlessly high pace, experienced lap after lap both from the pit box and from home, with the outcome remaining open until the closing stages.

Manuel González took victory ahead of Collin Veijer. Behind them, Baltus held on to third place all the way to the chequered flag, while Arbolino completed a long comeback that brought him back into the leading group in the closing stages.

Starting from seventh, Barry Baltus built his podium through a strong and steadily improving race. The Belgian rider moved into third place on lap nine and held the position all the way to the finish. His achievement was made even more impressive by the Long Lap Penalty he had to serve on lap 16, which prevented him from fighting for the victory. Despite the setback, Barry maintained front-running pace and defended his podium position, crossing the line just 2.2 seconds behind the runner-up.

His average race pace of 1'35.125 was the second-fastest of the race, just 17 thousandths of a second per lap slower than the winner.

Tony Arbolino's race was a long charge towards the front. After qualifying seventh and subsequently receiving a nine-place penalty, the Italian rider started from sixteenth on the grid. His comeback began immediately, as he completed the opening lap in twelfth position.

Tony continued to make progress lap after lap: eleventh on lap two, tenth on lap three and ninth on lap four. He kept pushing in the closing stages, moving up to sixth on lap 18 before taking fifth with two laps remaining. He crossed the finish line just three tenths behind fourth-placed Ortolá.

Eleven positions gained — the biggest comeback of the race — with the fifth-fastest race pace, averaging 1'35.244.

With both bikes inside the top five and 27 points scored, REDS Fantic Racing leaves Misano after its most successful weekend of the season.

Barry's podium represents a major milestone for the new REDS management and came at the end of a race that was followed with intense emotion from start to finish. In the box, every overtake was watched knowing that the result could change right until the chequered flag; the same tension was shared by those following the race from home.
